Away From Desk is a small, seated live music evening at away.center in Koramangala.
For this edition, Tabitha Kagoo and Jeremiah de Rozario will perform one 45-minute set each, with a 15-minute break in between.
The room is intimate, the sound is excellent, and the performances are professionally recorded for YouTube. Because of that, we ask everyone to remain seated once a set begins. It helps the artists perform without interruption and lets everyone in the room actually listen.
Please come a little early. Paul John Caffeine will be serving coffee before the performances begin.
The evening is also BYOB, so you are welcome to bring your own alcohol. We do not serve alcohol at away.
Every rupee collected from ticket sales goes directly to the artists. away does not keep a share.
And in case you attend and genuinely feel the evening was not worth what you paid, let us know. We will refund your ticket.
Tabitha is a singer-songwriter who has been performing since she was ten and writing her own music for most of the past decade.
You may have heard her as part of Tabby and Sanjai or Scrambled Eggs. She is currently working on her first EP with Nyima Records.
Her music draws from relationships, memory, doubt and the ordinary things people carry with them.
Tabitha is also a special educator and uses music and rhythm in her work with students.
Jeremiah is a singer-songwriter from Kochi whose music sits somewhere between indie pop and folk rock.
His songs often begin with something real: a conversation, a person, a place or a moment he has not quite been able to forget.
He has released five singles and a four-track EP, toured across South India, and opened for artists including Prateek Kuhad, When Chai Met Toast, Matthew Ifield, Tejas and Sooraj Santhosh.
